I have earned a bachelor in Natural Science, which has enable me to gain understanding in many areas of math and science, and an AAS in Practical Nursing. As an undergraduate at the University of Mississippi I was a teaching assistant for a College Skills class and also a year long tutor at Oxford High School in pre-algebra. After graduating from the University of Mississippi I lived in Seoul, South Korea and taught students ages 5-11 English as a Second Language, including math and social studies. Upon returning to the United States I began working on my master's degree in TESL and I've also had the opportunity to teach 3 credit bearing college courses from 2009 to current. I am qualified to tutor pre-calculus and science as I received an associate of science degree where I completed Calculus II, Organic Chemistry and Genetics. I love working with all ages and generally prefer English as a Second Language students, but I enjoy working with everyone. I began my college career in the Institute of Technology at the University of Minnesota. During my five semesters in the program I was able to study calculus and physics. I am familiar with high school level physics and mathematics up to and including pre-calculus. After five semesters at the University I transferred to St. Cloud State University to study economics. I honed my statistical and grammatical skills by writing research papers there. During my time at St. Cloud State University I tutored at St. Cloud Technical and Community College. For three semesters there I tutored students in math up to pre-calculus (including trigonometry), statistics, economics, and physics. I love teaching because I truly enjoy seeing the light come on when a student gets it. I have had some excellent teachers in my life and have used their techniques to help students I tutor.
