I am a self starter, and am good at trying to help someone to see what their potential can be. I am a life-long learner and believe education is what makes people successful in today's society. I own a lot of software programs from the Teach12 curricula. I learn such things as discreet math, the Joy of Science and Understanding the Brain to name a few. I read book such as "Character is Destiny" and "Eleanor Roosevelt" to learn about our rich history. Patients is a amazing thing to have when trying to teach. Many students learn at a different pace and I feel that finding that pace for every student is important. If you try to cram or learn something to quickly it only become heartache and bad grades.
In College I would form groups to try and study for upcoming test or exams. Doing this it really helped me to learn what I was studying and how other people learn as well.

I graduated with a BS in history in 1996. After nearly seven years working for a large communications corporation I returned to college to get my teaching credentials. I completed a years student teaching and have taught middle school and high school at a local private school. At that school I often tutored students, offered help on my own time, and was the monitor of the school's study hall, Homework Club. Since 2009 I have taught adults at a local technical college.
