I believe the best aproach to teaching is by finding an area of interest and building off that interest. History can be brought to life through movies, music, literature and other materials to make it come to life.
I was am American History tutor through the Academic Achievement Center at Bridgewater State College for my college career. I have also interned at the middle school level in high school to teach young children the wonders of history. A Little Bit About Me...

As an graduate of Elizabeth City State University, I have done exceptionally well. I learned so much through tutoring other students. When I tutored in the Business Department for Accounting and Finance classes, I gave some students hope, and some students even looked up to me. I have always wanted to become a teacher, it is the most rewarding job! The best part of my experience is watching students finally get something I had been working with them on. It is great to see how excited they are when they finally see how all their hard work has paid off. I would rather come up with hands on activities as well as any activity that involves the students being active rather than just doing work book pages and activity sheets.
