IN NEED OF A JOB

I have obtained my GED and have always had straight As in high school. I'm also familiar with construction and building skills. I am a visual learner and will do my best to make the teaching fun. I have also obtained 13 college credits from Kalamazoo valley central college. The 13 credits that I have obtained are in computer skills. The computer skills that I have obtained are those for knowing and understanding how to use Microsoft word and all other programs associated with it.
I like to have a fun open minded discussion. I don't like boring so I will do my best to spice it up.

A Little Bit About Me...

I love working with younger people who have a passion for writing. From a young age I enjoyed writing and because I have invested time in learning about and working on my writing, it makes me happy to see a younger generation love it as much as I do. I hope to inspire those who write to keep with it and support them in their endeavors. I wouldn't have enrolled in writing programs had it not been for the teachers and professors who supported and encouraged me. Writing has been my way of expressing myself and I would love to bring that out in others.

As a Michigan State graduate, I am still very passionate about education, and believe that learning does not stop when you leave the classroom. I have earned a bachelors degree in Dietetics, which included a rigorous science and research based curriculum, as well as ways to improve teaching and counseling techniques. Learning is not a one size fits all process, it is critical to find what works best for the student. Outside of School I served as a volunteer diving coach for two years, and although I have not tutored before, as a recent graduate my study skills are still very sharp. A Little Bit About Me...

Teaching mainly K-8 on a consistent schedule, I have learned that some students need one-on-one teaching. Being the third teacher in Head Start, I had time to work with individual students. All children were very well prepared for kindergarten. The older children, including High School and Middle School, I would walk around the room and aide them when they were confused. I also had them read the text orally taking turns and we would do the work sheet to prepare for quiz, test or new chapter. I am very patient with those who are truly in need of assistance. I have tutored in the past in phonics for those having difficulty reading and pronouncing letters.
