I won two national scholastic writing awards for my writing. I also studied at Rice University which is a highly selective university in Houston Texas. My teaching style can vary depending on what age level that I am teaching. According to Erik Erickson, there are eight stages of learning that we develop as children until we become an adult learner. So for the ages (2-7) my teaching style would be a hands- on learning approach. There would be a lot of visual aids and colorful pictures. Since children at this age learn through their senses.

I have held a strong passion for history since I was an undergrad at Radford University. As a graduate student at Hollins University I was able to study a broad spectrum of academic fields with an intense focus on history.
