I am compassionate, patient, and sincere. I employ various teaching styles depending on the age and needs of the student. For college and high school students, I ask that students bring their textbooks as well as notes to each session. I often prepare example questions for material similar to that tested on an exam. Not only does this allow the student with an opportunity to practice additional problems in areas that are weak, but also ensures that the student fully comprehends the information. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy teaching. I believe all children have the ability to succeed in the subject of math. The key to teaching children math is to find out what motivates your students. Then I try to find away to incorporate their interest into the lesson so they relate with the subject at hand. I also try to observe my students to see what the best way to teach them weather it is hands on or just a simple explanation of the material.
I was a math tutor at Northern Virginia Community College in Sterling, VA from 08/03 to 07/07. I have also taught adult swim lessons and group swim lessons for children at the Ashburn Sports Pavilion in Ashburn VA.
