I have a deep conviction to helping students achieve both their academic and personal goals. I don't feel that merely passing a class is enough. I do not have a degree. I have been instructed by the teachers I have worked with. My style is to let the student know that they are to be attentive, polite, and to try their best to do the lessons. I tell them that I am there to help them and I do encourage them by rewarding with appropriate items. I have been raising a great grandchild, now 11 years of age. I adopted him at age 24 months. He has been diagnosed with ADHD, ODD, and Emotionally Challenged. I have learned a great deal working with the schools, teachers, PSR's and counselors. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy watching students grasp the scientific method as it is something that comes naturally to most people if put in the right context. Science is rewarding to teach because it incorporates other disciplines like math. I often receive comments about my effective teaching style. I believe this is because of my education and that teaching science is a passion for me and a lifetime pursuit. I have noticed that people understand science better when it is related to their life.
