I am currently a PhD student in Computer and Electrical Engineering at the University of Maryland. I have both my B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Bucknell University. In addition, I have several years of experience as a teaching assistant at Bucknell. I also have several years of experience with computer science, programming for a government laboratory.
I like to try and figure out how a student goes about understanding different topics. Often times teachers teach right from the textbook, but this can be confusing and students can be left behind because they learn differently. Microsoft Excel is one of my top subjects!

Collaborative style, very hands on with pre-built example workbooks for students to tinker and tweak. I try to boil things down as simply as possible to make every concept as understandable as possible.
After I completed my degree, I started working in the government contracting industry as a number cruncher (Pricing Analyst) for proposals. Proposal work tends to be quite challenging and that is where I learned the most about Excel and how to do efficient reporting. I was also fortunate to work with several of the Washington, DC area's Excel experts and eventually became an expert myself.
