Helping Others To Accomplish Their Goals

My style is what works for the person I am working with. I am opened to sharing my ideas, but listening to each individual and what works for them.
I have worked with various needy students who have been classified as learning disabled, or those who know they are in need for assistance. My experiences vary, as I worked with older children in filling out applications for jobs and to prepare for jobs. A Little Bit About Me...

I have eighteen years of experience: ten at the missle school level, and eight at the high school level. My experience includes teaching "at-risk" students from a wide variety of backgrounds and situations. I have taught sheltered, regular Pre-AP and AP. In addition, I serve as the Social Studies Department Chair. I write curriculum, build after-school tutoring programs, and design effective professional development for my teachers.
My teaching style is fun and engaging. You must find what engages a student. Everyone has a different learning style. My teaching style utilizes any and all manipulatives necessary to engage a student. I also review student data to determine what learning gaps exist.
