Learning is a lifelong process!

Every student is unique and benefits from an individualized instruction. My style is business casual; I am firm yet warm and encouraging with students.
My very first year of teaching was at the Lehigh Valley Performing Arts High School, and I also taught for two years at Northern Lehigh High School. Currently, I am resigned and staying home, but looking to work part time. I have experience teaching grades 7-12 and working with all types of students. The classes I've taught range from Honors English to a class which targeted students struggling to gain proficiency in English related PSSA skills.

I love teaching and working with children of all ages. As an undergraduate, I participated in a Writing Fellowship, which allowed me to meet with students to work on their writing. Through this individualized tutoring style, I developed an appreciation for working one-on-one with students and peers, and began to develop a highly personal, creative style of tutoring. Over the course of my teaching experience, I have found that students learn best when they are comfortable yet appropriately challenged. It is my goal to distinguish the learning style of each individual student that I work with and from there, develop a plan to meet their goals.

A Little Bit About Me...

My undergradute years at Kutztown University have truly prepared me to be an educator. I earned a BS in education with a specialization in English. This degree has given me a great "bag of educational tricks." In other words, I am well versed in different teaching strategies for all learning styles. I have taught all genres of literature, as well as, writing techniques and grammar. I have also run an after school tutoring program and taught night school.
I truly enjoy teaching. It is life-long passion. I have spent my eleven teaching years working with 9-12 grade students, and I have loved every moment. I am patient and easy going.
