I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2008 with a BBA in Accounting. I am currently completing my MS in Accounting through the University of Connecticut through their distance learning program. I earned a 3.0 at Texas A&M while working a full-time accounting job and I currently have a 3.93 at University of Connecticut, whihc I have also earned while maintaining a full-time job. I have worked with students through substitute teaching and tutored many students while at Texas A&M in accounting. I have a unique passion for the world of accounting and have a desire to share that passion with other students. I know that a students instructor or tutor can make or break their desire to learn a particular subject. Even though I've never worked in a classroom setting full time, I have mentored and tutored elementary to high school children at the Boy and Girls Club in all areas. I truly enjoy teaching and working with children. Every individual learns differently and I feel the key to teaching children is determining that learning style. Through the correct teaching style, encouragement, and patience, each child can excel in any given area. It is very rewarding to watch them succeed. Education has always been a very important part of my life. After earning my BS in Accounting I have continued my education in pursuit of my CPA. After High School, I taught Sunday School at the small church I attended. I was co-teacher with an older gentleman, and the students were 12-15 years old. When my wife and I lived in Seymour (2002-2004), we often helped our nephews with their math homework or class Science projects. I loved explaining the basics, the steps required as we conducted the experiments and documented results in a logical, orderly progression of events. Our oldest nephew struggled with Algebra and geometric reasoning.
