I have always been a curious person and even as an adult I enjoy learning. As a result, I have a passion for sharing my knowledge and experience with others. As a teacher, I am encouraging, supportive, and patient. I think it is very important to tailor teaching methods to the individual student because people learn in different ways. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all education, and I like to use my creativity in lessons to help keep learning interesting. I earned my BA in German with a minor in music. My interest in the German language began as a child when my mother took a military assignment to Germany. In addition to the three years I lived there with my family, I completed a study abroad session during college and returned two years later as a Fulbright grantee to teach English in a German school. In total I spent six years in Germany and am quite fluent in the language.
