My teaching style is simply and varies from student to student. I am a visual learner, once I see an example done; I try to use what I’ve learned to solve a similar problem. Some people don't learn that way, I try to pick up on the student’s best learning style (whether it’s by doing example problems, talking them out, or guiding them through their own examples) I can focus my help to try to suit them. I’m very patient and understanding when it comes to tutoring, I understand many of the difficulties people have. When a question is asked, I am not going to simply just tell the student the answer. I would want them to think it out and try and figure it out for themselves. I would however guide them in the right direction and even ask them other questions they may know in order for them to figure out the intial problem. I feel that these types of interactions are a more effective way of learning. Also, writing things down helps tremedously because not only are you thinking it, but you're seeing it and reading it as well. I love teaching students and helping them understand and enjoy science. I believe that all students can learn science; some just have great fears that need to be overcome. To overcome these fears often one-on-one help is required to assess the fears and make the student feel confident in their ability.
