My comments on tutoring Persian : I am a native Farsi (Persian) speaker. I am fluent in both written and spoken Persian.

15 Years of college-level teaching at both under-graduate and graduate levels. Additionally, I have translated books and classical Persian poetry to English. I am an avid reader of current publications in Persian and have keen interest in other languages (Spanish and Italian). Although there are some Farsi books and CDs available for the English-speaking students who wish to learn spoken and/or written Persian, because of special language peculiarities these tend to be ineffective without guidance and supervision of an expert tutor.

I have experience teaching and tutoring diverse age groups. I have worked with children as a volunteer teacher and worked with adults at a volunteer activity center. I have tutored in math for a long time in different levels since math was always easy for me and I have a passion for math. I believe every individual has the ability to learn and it is the tutor/teacher job to figure out the suitable style for each individual.
I usually start with getting background information about the individual and try to learn their strength and weaknesses. Finding a style that suite the individual level is the most important part in my idea. The next step I would take is to give each student assignment according to their level and try to see how they will perform for a week or two.
