I had an experience teaching ESOL for 8 years with ST.Louis Public Schools District, through my work with people from different countries and different languages,I learned about their cultures and at the same time they enjoyed learning the English language, so they can be able to express their ideas and thought. Collaborative & Fun Teacher

My comments on tutoring Language Arts : I have tutored this subject at the middle school level.

I graduated from Princeton University with a BA (cum laude) in History and will be starting a Ph.D. program in History in the fall. I served as a tutor at the middle school level during my college years and have worked with High School students on History, English and ACT/SAT prep for the past year.I have also served in various other academically-related positions, including as a research assistant and library assistant.
I like to nurture my students without enabling them. I tend to ask my students pointed questions about the subject at hand to inspire critical thinking and push them to arrive at their own interpretation of the correct answer. I feel that this best prepares them for college-level work.

Improving writing at all levels
