I enjoy helping people to achieve their potential and nothing makes me more happy than to see someone learn something and get a good grade or to do the task on their own without any help. My style is that I try to let the student figure out the solutions to whatever problem they are working on on their own but I will be there to help them if they run into to problems. I will show at first what they need to do and know before I leave to solve the problem on their own. I began school as a Biology major for 2 years, so I have a great science background. I love to teach children. I finished my Masters program in December 07 and began teaching at the school I did my internship at, Briarcliff MS. I taught grades 6-8 and filled in for a Special Ed teacher at the end of the year. Also during that time I tutored a group of 6 graders in Math.
I don't think there is anything better than the feeling of helping a child learn. Every student have the ability to learn, we have to adapt our teaching styles so that all students can understand. I love working with children. I was involved in girl scouts from first grade all the way to 12th grade and in those years I learned a lot of leadership skills.
