I have always enjoyed working with children, especially in a school setting. I am very good at working one-on-one with people and tailoring my communication and teaching style to best fit the student or listener. I am very keen at ascertaining the needs and personalities of many different people and I am very patient and adept at listening. Teaching has always been a passion of mine. Watching a student light up after learning how to do something is the greatest thing for me. I believe children can learn and be successful but each in different ways. I believe we as teachers must use differentiated instruction to help all students learn. My students learn immediately that I care about them and desire for them to be successful learners. I ask them to do their best in everything they do and believe in themselves. We celebrate even the smallest achievements in my class. Learning can and should be fun with just a little imagination on my part.
