A Little Bit About Me...

My experience began as a teacher in the public school system where I taught for three years in an elementary setting. Following this, I worked as a teacher and Tutorial Coordinator in a deaf school for four years. I instructed middle school students in all subjects but tutored all age and developmental levels. I currently work as a behavioral therapist and help students with autism and other developmental disabilities using ABA therapy and have been doing this for two years. One on one tutoring style--I provide one on one tutoring sessions that include the use of a variety of instructional strategies including worksheets, workbooks, sight words, vocabulary, Venn diagrams and charts, flash cards, compositions and educational websites. Group tutoring is available that would involve using the same instructional strategies, but the instruction would take place in a group setting of 2 or more students and could involve the Jigsaw method which involves all students collaborating together to achieve academic skills.
