A Little Bit About Me...

I notice that many high school instructors do not teach the basics of science. I believe it is important to cover the basics of the periodic table and elements for one to enjoy Chemistry. I try to make learning fun. I make note cards and sheets for my students. I am very compassionate and easy to talk to.

A Little Bit About Me...

As an undergraduate student, I performed very well in my classes and found that I was able to help many of my peers do well in these same classes. As a result, I decided to begin tutoring students in a challenging statistics course offered on campus. In college, I was a pre-medical and business student, so my range of knowledge is quite broad. Since graduation, I have begun tutoring homeless children locally through a program called School on Wheels. I like to have a relationship with the students I tutored where they feel comfortable with me; I want them to be able to tell me the problems they're having with the work and what I can do to help. I like to be friendly with them while still being an authority figure where they want to do their best. I think this type of relationship allows me to push the students to their maximum limit without discouraging them when we're having a difficult session.
