GRE is one of my top subjects!

I have been tutoring students of all ages since I was in high school. I began by tutoring my own peers in math and social studies. I would also tutor children from 1st grade on up in all subjects. Once in college, I tutored college students and younger in many fields, primarily mathematics courses. My specialty quickly became preparation for standardized tests as well as calculus because I have a unique ability to discover how each student learns and tailor the lessons to their needs. I can quickly find where the knowledge gaps exist for each student and fill in those gaps, in order to create a complete understanding of the topic, not just get them to memorize answers.
My teaching style varies for each student, I try to tailor the work to how the student learns.

I work best with individuals who are self-motivated and determined to succeed. I am the kind of teacher who responds to questions with questions. I understand that a lot of students are just looking for a sufficient answer, but this will not help them understand the material when they are required to take an exam. I am a firm believer in teaching through example as it is the most efficient way to learn the mathematical sciences. I attained two Bachelor of Arts degrees, one in Psychology and the other in Linguistics. Due to my education in the social sciences I have developed a vast knowledge of the mechanics of writing, which is particularly exemplified by my senior honor's thesis in psychology that I composed this past year.
