Critical thinking skills and untraditional ways are what I focus on. However the way someone learns, I will try to set the individual up to show how they learn and work with them. I will implement practices and materials I think will fit the student's profile. I feel a teacher wears many hats and you must be prepared to wear a different one any day.
I have been a tutor for 23 years and I have taught Adult Basic Education for 12 years. I am still continuing my education to receive a Masters degree and plan to get my PhD. Experienced Instructor

I have been employed by Toledo Public Schools since 1999. I have taught French, Math,Social Studies and Special Education Classes. Some of the classes I was a long term sub teacher where I taught for three or more months at a time. I have also taught on a daily basis English, Science,Health and a variety of other subjects. I love teaching. I feel children learn differently .Some children are visual while other children are lecture oriented. I have many ways of teaching, but I feel actual interaction works the best. I also feel that an approach to the big picture of how the material fits into the everyday life situations helps.
