My experience is all in college. I had 9 Labs in college in all my science courses. I excelled very well in my science courses and i keep learning. Did great in my research project class. Played college baseball so i am great with athletes that do not want to study. I can break down big concepts into smaller concepts that is understandable for all students in the academia process. I studied a lot myself to achieve success in college and do well in classes.
Hands on, and more of an application study. I believe that the only way to actually understand something is being able to apply it to real world situations.

A Little Bit About Me...

I believe all children are capable of learning. We need to adjust to help everyone learn. Student- centered learning and constructivism are key components in student learning. Once again, my personal belief of education is "You only get out what you put in".
I have taught for a total of 11 years. I taught in Prince George's Public schools for 5 years, Hyde Leadership Public Charter School in DC for 1 year, Avon Park High School for 2 years, Hardee Junior High for 1 year, and Bill Duncan Opportunity Center (alternative school) for 2 years. Most of my adult life has been spent in the arena of teaching and mentoring. My undergraduate degree, a B.S. in Biology, was largely a platform for the many other courses taken in order to teach mathematics and sciences more effectively. Even after I had moved professionally from teaching to military chaplaincy, much of my focus has been on mentoring others. A Little Bit About Me...

I completed my BS degree in electrical engineering in 2007. While pursing that degree, I took coursework in Math (through Calc I-III, Differential Equations, and Linear Systems Analysis) Physics, and Chemistry. Following graduation I worked as a project engineer constructing and commissioning an oil refinery in southwest Asia. Among with my technical responsibilities, I participated in training future local operators via translator.
To begin, I have always loved science and working with numbers. I'm very patient when trying to explain a topic to someone. I believe the majority of problems with comprehension people have, especially in math/science, are due to an incomplete background or an unclear explanation. With time and effort, most anyone can learn just about anything, and participating in that is very satisfying.
