Thus, it is important to teach a student not what to think, but how to think. With little formal teaching experience, my philosophy draws on what I have liked in my teachers. First, and foremost, is enthusiasm. A professor who is clearly excited by the subject is more likely to spark excitement in the students. I am experienced working with management and end-users to design, document, develop, implement, and maintain software in a wide variety of applications on a wide variety of computer platforms. My teching experience comes as a volunteer at PromiseLand Ministries, a homeless shelter with a drug-alcohol rehabilitation program, run by Spring Creek Community Church, in Crawfordville, Florida. (15 hours/week 1994-1997). I taught GED classes 1 night per week (1995-1996). I also served in day-to-day operations and as a church Deacon.

A Little Bit About Me...

I completed my BS degree in electrical engineering in 2007. While pursing that degree, I took coursework in Math (through Calc I-III, Differential Equations, and Linear Systems Analysis) Physics, and Chemistry. Following graduation I worked as a project engineer constructing and commissioning an oil refinery in southwest Asia. Among with my technical responsibilities, I participated in training future local operators via translator.
To begin, I have always loved science and working with numbers. I'm very patient when trying to explain a topic to someone. I believe the majority of problems with comprehension people have, especially in math/science, are due to an incomplete background or an unclear explanation. With time and effort, most anyone can learn just about anything, and participating in that is very satisfying.
