I enjoy helping others gain an understanding and interest in any subject that may be troubling them. To start, I find out what the student is currently studying and what material the student understands. I then use what the student knows to introduce and explain the material the student does not understand. Throughout the process I do my best to make sure the student understands what is being explained and has the ability to solve problems without my guidance. Once I see the student is comfortable with the material, we move on to new material. I am a recent graduate from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, with a BS in Business Administration - International Business and a focus in Chinese. Because this program is relatively new, a degree in International Business required multiple Finance courses, which allowed me to learn many advanced statistical and mathematical concepts. I have set-up courses in different manners and have come to the realization that students must be engaged. I create engagement in a variety of ways using differing types of assignments and projects to attempt to hook the students.
