I have spent my whole adullt life tutoring, mentoring and being a role model to others by being involved as a coach for the local Pop Warner football team, as well as serving as a tutor to three middle school/high school students, in the subject of math, science and social studies. I have also served as a substitute teacher. My favorite subject areas are in American History, Government, and Science.
I do not believe in standardized testing. Each child has the capability of learning, but not all children have the ability to take tests, for whatever reason. I started my career at Fairfield University as a Biology student and quickly learned that it was an exciting and very challenging field. As a student in a professional college I am very focused on learning and I have gained many skills and useful tips for studying. I have experience working with adults but I love working with children as well. I have the ability to manipulate the way I teach that will maximize the learning for each individual. I'm am a very personal and creative person thats wants everyone to succeed in their academics.
While studying for my undergrad in economics I found a passion in helping others succeed as I was. I often held study sessions with groups ranging from 2- 10 people at least twice a week.
