My comments on tutoring ADD/ADHD : Before becoming a Certified Public Librarian, I greatly enjoyed working with children of all ages with different abilities in several acclaimed summer recreation camps and art class settings. I have worked with children for 30 years. I understand the elementary level reading progam having subbed for teachers, teaching assistants and reading teachers for 2 years. I taught pre-reading skills to 3 year old children for 8 years in a local preschool. I am 3/4 of the way through my Teaching Assistant Certification. I have an adult son with ADD and have struggled right along with him throughout his school years. I fought for/with him to get the appropriate learning needs for him.
