Tutoring is very important to me. I learn as well as teach through my process. Although I believe grammar is very important, I aim to teach organizational skills within any student's writing. I have found that any student can learn. The key to a student's success is that education must be approached in the correct manner for that individual student. Not all students learn in the same fashion, and that must be considered in planning and implementing lessons. I believe that education needs to be approached in a fun way that coincides with the student's individual interests and learning styles. If the student loves sports, I would find innovative ways to include that in my tutoring so that he/she would stay focused and retain information. Since my years as an undergraduate student, one of my passions has always been giving back to the community through tutoring and mentoring. Over the past eleven years, I have tutored countless times, particularly in research paper and essay writing (in various disciplines), literature, and even mathematics.
