A Little Bit About Me...

I have been an executive on Wall Street, a Chief Financial Officer, a Comptroller. I have either started or been a key player in ten start-up ventures. I have taught a two credit course in personal finance, been a lecturer for economics courses at Richard Stockton State College, been a substitute on the high school level and have been a business instructor at the Harris Business School. I graduated with honors in finance and have 12 credits towards my MBA.
My style is to make learning fun. I take the boring and make it exciting and learnable without torturing the student. I weed out the things that are not important and focus on the important so that I do not waste the student’s time. My teaching style is focused on student achievement. Many parents complain that their child does poorly on tests. This is often a result of inadequate teaching practices which fail to recognize individual learning differences in students. My goal in teaching is to individualize the learning process for each student, so that the student understands and retains knowledge and is able to explain what they learned. A Little Bit About Me...

As an Education Director at a Boys & Girls Club, I taught in the non-traditional sense, through after school literature-enhancing programming of various kinds. I instructed K-12 students, and even parents and staff, on many different levels of achievement and ability, so I am very acquainted with diverse populations and accomodating their educational needs through creative tools and approaches.
Since my years as an undergraduate student, one of my passions has always been giving back to the community through tutoring and mentoring. I love working with children. Each child learns in a different way and at a different pace.
