The key to being a good teacher is being patient. I believe children learn best in a positive and stress-free environment. When a child does good on the work then I praise them and if they make a mistake then I explain to them the error in the homework. When I was a small child, I remember my teacher being patient and helping me along the way. It has been said that no one rises to low expectations. I believe that every child CAN learn, but that the process of teaching each child must vary depending on their learning style. Tutoring gives teachers the unique advantage of having students one on one, and allows us to truly discover what methods work best for those students.
