As a recent graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology, I am excited to begin helping high school and college students with math and science, as well as technical and essay writing. I have earned a BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering, and a MS in Engineering Management. This curriculum has enabled me to gain a deep understanding of math and science used in both engineering and business settings. I have also learned extensive writing skills throughout my career both at Greatbatch, Inc and Lockheed Martin. Beginning in high school I found myself driven to help children in need. Through my participation in Mercy Action, I raised money for mentally delayed children, and set up numerous barbeques for them. Later, I began tutoring a young brazilian boy in the 5th grade. He needed help with all of his studies, especially math and english. As a political science major, I have gained experienced in essay writing, grammatical skills and research methods. Before I was able to tutor, I taught 7 year old girls cheerleading. When I began to tutor, I enjoyed being one on one with the child. I am very patient, punctual and considerate. I know children that need extra help need extra time. I find it personally rewarding to supplament a child's education. I also believe it is easier for a child to ask questions when they are one on one with an educator.

I have had the unique opportunity through my diverse educational experiences to work with many different types of people. My initial degree is in Social science from Alfred State University. Throughout my education at Alfred State University I truly believe I began to understand and appreciate others and their differences. I received my second degree from Cortland State University in Early Childhood Education with Inclusion. I had the opportunity to work with many different types of children. I also had many diverse experiences while teaching first grade in Florida.
