I love working with children and watching them make connections as they learn. I believe nothing is more important than educating yourself because there is always something more to learn about life. I am available to help your child connect with life and achieve success in it through the work we would do together. I believe there are as many ways to teach a child as there are children and it's just a matter of finding the teaching style appropriate for the child. For instance, I learned best through exploration and self-discovery, through the written word, and by direct discussion with whoever my teacher was. I understand that approach only works for some. Even though I graduated with a degree in Business Adminstration I hav always enjoys tutoring. I have been tutoring my younger neices and nephews just because I enjoy so. I have tutored grades K-12 in about almost every subject possible except band. I have written lots research papers on many different subjects.
I feel if that you really want to learn a subject, that you should try teaching it. I am very friendly and laid back. I try to instill humor and life experiences with my teachings to help the children relate to me or the materials. I love the look of child when the wheels are turning in thier head. During my undergraduate studies I tutored at Delta College's Teaching/Learning Center for almost 2 years. While working there I received an award for Tutor of the Year. Delta College being a community college with a wide range of students I have worked with students of all ages and backgrounds. I focused mainly in the areas of Mathematics and Computer Science. Since my job at Delta College I have also tutored privately.
