After high school, I recognized in myself a desire to work with elementary- and high school-aged children. I have always been at the top of my classes and was heading for an engineering school before I discovered a love for helping kids. I do not have any teaching experience but I spent many summers working with these age groups at camp and enjoy interacting with them. A Little Bit About Me...

I have taught 6-12th grade English for three years. While teaching in Detroit I was the lead teacher heading the tutoring program for MEAP preparation. I have also prepared North Carolina students for ACT and SATs.
I have been told that my classroom does not need a teacher's desk. This is probably due to my high energy, fact paced teaching style. I love using music and technology to get the students interested. I am a creative teacher. I love to design my own lessons to engage students and compliment their learning styles. I have experience teaching traditional classrooms, but my passion is non-traditional education. I love working one-on-one with students or in small groups.
I graduated from Saginaw Valley State University with a degree in Secondary Education and am certified in the State of Michigan to teach 6-12th grade English and math.
