I began tutoring as a high school student for the Wayne State University Math Corps. I tutored students entering the 7th and 8th grade in math topics ranging from basic math to calculus. I continued tutoring at the University of Michigan in the Sweetland Writing Center, helping college students draft and revise essays for a variety of subjects. I also spent a summer in Honduras teaching English to elementary students ranging from grade K-5. In this setting I was in command of my own classroom of students.
