I think educators must take into account the different ways in which students learn. For instance, I've noticed that math students may have difficulty adding and subtracting fractions, but have no trouble whatsoever when I ask about dimes and quarters. I do not have a particular teaching style because I don't believe that a single method works for everyone. Therefore, I operate from an Occam's Razor perspective -- whatever is the simplest solution is the best. I believe I am very empathetic and perceptive, which would enable me to determine what works best for each student. Admittedly, I have no direct (structured) teaching experience. However, I have nearly five years of experience in the journalism field, and during that time I've mentored a number of fledgling college and high school journalists.
