My comments on tutoring Spanish : I minored in Spanish in College. I can teach the basics all the way up to Spanish III.

My teaching philosophy starts out with essentialism which believes in a strong core curriculum and high academic standards. I believe it is important to have a strong foundation on which to build upon. After ensuring a strong foundation I tend to lean more towards progressivism. I believe students should be taught what is relevant today while becoming more independent learners, by utilizing problem solving skills and critical thinking. I teach the foundation and build upon that based upon what is relevant in a particular field today. I also include student-centered teaching strategies. Making languages fun and easy!

Have been tutoring in languages since I mastered English myself. I am a native Spanish speaker born and raised in Ecuador then moved to the US to continue school and graduate high school. I attended a university in Ecuador for a year and all through high school took French as my alternative language course. I took a national French exam to see the ranking I was in and ranked 8th in the whole US.
