I have been told I have a way with words, and have become the "walking dictionary" for family and friends. Some of my fondest memories come from watching usually college-age newspaper and magazine interns blossom into competent and confident reporters and writers. The techniques I applied in those situations are easily adaptable to academic endeavors.
