Experienced Tutor Any Age Many Subjects

With over 20 years of tutoring experience, I am able to help with many subjects and all ages. I have worked with students from kindergarten through college in many subjects. My career in education includes a wide range of experience. I began as a substitute teacher covering for classroom teachers ranging from preschool to the 12th grade. My innate teaching abilities became evident and I was highly sought after. Returning to college to earn my teaching certification, I gained experience in special education teaching summer school. I student taught 3rd and 4th grade, then was hired to teach 5th grade which I did for 2 years. Returning to my love of special education, my taught for another 3 years. A Little Bit About Me...

As a valued member of the ANA faculty and team I continually worked to lift the standards and proficiency of all the students that I taught both directly and indirectly to prepare them for the rigors of high school and college. As the English Department Chair I mentored and provided leadership to the staff I supervised as well as my fellow colleagues. I earned a BS in Education as well as a Certification in TESL. During my many years of teaching I have mentored and tutored students in English, History, ESL and Study Skills (which focused on time management, organization, note taking and test taking skills as well as building self-esteem.)
