A Little Bit About Me...

I believe that the best way to learn is by repetition and not being afraid to make mistakes. This is especially important in language acquisition as many students are afraid of making pronunciation errors. I believe in making this practice and experience enjoyable so that both student and teacher can put in the necessary hours for real learning to happen.
As the founder and president of UNCA French club 2008 until 2010 I enjoy helping others with the French language. I elected to homeschool my three children who are now teenagers; thus I have many years of one-on-one teaching experience. I feel that some children need to be away from the stresses sometimes experienced at school in order to discover their academic gifts. An individual tutor has the luxury to get to know the student, see thier potential, and cheer them on in a way that a classroom teacher may not have the time to do.
