I have a Master of Accounting degree from Virginia Tech, where I was a Graduate Teaching Assistant. I taught Accounting, Finance and Business Math for two years at the undergraduate level after graduation. I am currently Controller for a medium-sized construction company, and use all aspects of accounting and finance in my daily work life. I focus on using examples from real business to explain problems and assignments in a clear, straightforward and step-by-step manner. I worked in a preschool for 3 years and did an internship for four months as well as student teaching for sixteen weeks my senior year of college. I graduated Suma Cum Laude and then worked as a long term substitute in Roanoke City Schools. I then taught for one year in Roanoke City schools in a general education classroom.
