I have over 12 years of experience in the elementary education field. While my passion is reading instruction, I am certified and have taught in all elementary subjects: math, science and social studies.I have spent the last 8 years working as a reading specialist at a K-5 elementary school and the past three summers as a reading tutor with Lynchburg College's Summer Reading Clinic. Psychology Professor/Reading Specialist

Over 25 years of teaching experience (all grade levels ~ from preschool to university graduate level courses). I enjoy tutoring, as it allows me to work one-on-one with a student to best assess their strengths and weaknesses in order to help them reach their goals. My doctoral work in Educational Psychology has given me a unique advantage in incorporating learning theory with applied teaching techniques.
