I can assist your child in his or her vocabulary skills. First of all, a dictionary is required. We will work together and read respectable grade level books. The student will have " weekly word list". The word list will consist of words their school requires them to know or age-appropriate words be given. These words would need to be placed in alphabetical order, sentences, crossword puzzles, and much more. I always try to find a different approach to learning. If the material is delivered in a boring way, it won't be memorized. I try to engage students to become really interested in the subject. I use metaphors and comparisons to explain the meaning of a certain word of phrase and a clue to remember both its spelling and meaning.
