My comments on tutoring Psychology : I took Psychology at an advanced placement level and maintained an A average throughout the course.

I believe a hands on approach to teaching a subject is the best way for a child to succeed. I believe that flashcards as well as games help younger children succeed in mastering a subject. Making a subject fun is key to helping a child tackle a tough subject. For older kids, practice tests are very helpful as well as flashcards. Encouragement and support is also an important part of mastery.
I have been a volunteer tutor at a local elementary school during their aftercare program. I have also been a mentor through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Memphis to a first grader who had trouble with math (adding,subtracting, and multiplication). I have also helped fellow peers study for tests and the Reading and English sections of the ACT.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have a very relaxed teaching style when teaching my children at home during their homeschool, but they know if they don't do their work, they won't get far in life, and so far, of my eight children, there are four that are out of homeschool and have moved on to advanced education.
