I am certified by the Arizona Department of Education in Elementary Education, K-8. My teaching experience includes 10 years of public school teaching. An outstanding teacher knows that ‘practice makes perfect’. I drill my students, thus obviating the fact that ‘practice makes perfect’. This rule, however, does not only apply to my classes, it also applies to my instructional techniques. I cut a video for the Student Teacher Monitor at Northern Arizona University that he might demonstrate the animation a teacher needs to be effective. As part of my lifelong love of learning and teaching, I began tutoring when I was just fourteen years old. While in high school, I usually tutored math (mostly algebra, geometry, and trigonometry) and general science. Once I moved to college, I began to work with middle school as well as high school students again in mostly math and science. A Little Bit About Me...

My experience has been in training staff in accounting and tutoring nephews and nieces in school. I tutored my niece, Amanda, who was a D- student in math. She believed she was not smart enough. With my tutoring her to look at math differently, she improved her grades to an A. Even the teacher was quite surprised at the quick turnaround. Her fear of subjects, especially math, shut her off from learning. While I have no direct teaching experience, I have years of devotion to training many different kinds of people for many different kinds of positions throughout my career.

As a student, I had the chance to participate in the Americorps program, where I developed and implemented programs for at-risk youth. My programs encompassed but were not limited to, ecology, animal husbandry, writing, reading, and the arts. Since then I have earned two bachelor's degrees, a BA in Education, and a BA in Elementary Education, with minors in communications and liberal arts.
