With my undergraduate degree in hand I taught Marketing and Sales at Whiteside Area Vocational Center in Sterling, IL, for eight years. I left teaching to enter the corporate world working for several companies, i.e., National Manufacturing Company in Sterling, Amerock Corporation in Rockford, and Greenlee-Textron in Rockford. I moved from a product manager to national account manager. Following my corporate experience I returned to tutoring students, K-12, in Princeton, IL, in math up through geometry, and specializing in tutoring students who could not go to school either due to an accident or illness.

While attending UW-Whitewater I completed my Observation and Participation at Golda Meir in Milwaukee for 4th grade, completed my Field Study at Palmyra-Eagle High School for grades 9-12, and have just completed my Student Teaching at BlackHawk Middle School on Madison's East Side for 8th grade. I am currently in school for my Masters in Teaching. At the completion of my program, I will be certified to teach grades one through eight. I have spent the last six months working with Kindergarten, First grade, and Third grade students in my field placement. Prior to starting school, I had three years of training experience in the political field. That was done in large groups ranging from 20 to 100 participants.
