A Little Bit About Me...

I have sons ages 17 and 20, and continually took an active role in fostering their education. From the time they first set foot in kindergarten, through high school, I regularly volunteered, supporting their and the schools’ needs. I assisted in the classroom, chaperoned field trips, dances, etc., planned and participated at parties, special events and any role that could make a small difference. I am especially sensitive to the needs of students with disabilities, particularly those with ADD or similar issues. While attending UW-Whitewater I completed my Observation and Participation at Golda Meir in Milwaukee for 4th grade, completed my Field Study at Palmyra-Eagle High School for grades 9-12, and have just completed my Student Teaching at BlackHawk Middle School on Madison's East Side for 8th grade. I have tutored many students from ages 8-45(continuing students at UW-Whitewater). I am aware of the many different learners there are and I know how to relate the material at hand to the relevancy of the individual's life.

Teaching is my passion. Besides being a mother, it is the thing that most defines me. I believe that learning is innate in all individuals, but, if an individual lacks passion, they will struggle at seeing their potential.
