A Little Bit About Me...

Saying "can't" is a bad word to me. I like to teach my students to remain positive and never give up. Encouragement is one of my teaching styles. For tap I like to base my style according to Savion Glover, Gene Kelly, and Gregory Hines.
I have had 20 years of dance experience including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Modern, Lyrical, and Ballroom. 2 years previous to my dance experience I took gymnastics. I was a teacher's assistant at the age of 14 and began teaching by myself at age of 16 totaling 9 years. My favorite style of dance is tap and it is what I am best at.

Drama is one of my top subjects! I am a senior in high school. I have taken drama classes and also been in show choir for all of my years of being in high school. I am very excellent in helping i have also helped many freshmen learn how to act and dance. I have also been in many of the shows. I am very good at helping children come out and have fun.

The ways i have taught past students; i usually break up them into groups of three or four depending on how many are in the class. They get to choose a skit out of any story they want and they study it and practice it for a couple weeks, they make a blocking plot and learn how to really get into character. Then once they've really gotten their part they perform it in front of the class; usually with a lot of confidence and excitement !
I have been in drama class for all four years of being in high school. I am now a current senior at Villa Rica High School. I have also been involved in show choir during my years of high school. My comments on tutoring Drama : I was the lead drama instructor for Strong Rock Camp during the course of the following summers: 2010, 2011, 2012. I have been in several theatrical productions, and enjoyed teaching kids how to express themselves through the dramatic arts.
