A Little Bit About Me...

As a parent, I was able to finish my degree in 2003 and return back to college as an adult student. Being a parent as well as a teacher for five years, I saw that the experience of parenting firsthand before actually teaching in the classroom was very beneficial. I love the youth and the teens, and was hired as a Language Arts teacher for a junior high private school for the last five years. I taught English, writing skills, religion, and Literature. Because I was recently a graduate in 2003, I knew that the students needed to learn writing skills and therefore prepared them for for high school writing. I believe in teaching the whole student. While going to college at the UW – Eau Claire, I've been a math and statistics tutor for the past four years. I've also been a Teacher’s Assistant for a statistics Professor where my duties consisted of running review sessions for the class before quizzes and exams along with grading homework and exams. I have completed four statistics courses dealing with different areas of statistics. I also have experience in one-on-one tutoring.
