While going to college at the UW – Eau Claire, I've been a math and statistics tutor for the past four years. I've also been a Teacher’s Assistant for a statistics Professor where my duties consisted of running review sessions for the class before quizzes and exams along with grading homework and exams. I have completed four statistics courses dealing with different areas of statistics. I also have experience in one-on-one tutoring. Over the past four years I’ve tutored seven students individually meeting at the library to work. Last year, though, I worked with a student who had Cerebral Palsy. First I like to try to ask them where they are having trouble or watch them do some problems to see where they are having troubles. Where I find the problem I would show them the correct ways to approach a problem and prove it to them or use other methods to help them understand how the concepts work. I'm a good listener and very patient with students. Also with my computer science background, especially in statistics related applications, I can make demonstrations do demonstrate or even solve problems.
I often helped people with their math regardless if it was 3rd grade or college level. I'm always offering my help to friends around the area or even online.
