I graduated cum laude from D'Youville College with a BS degree in biology and a minor in chemistry. At D’Youville in 2001-2003 I tutored advanced sciences. The most complex course was Gross Anatomy in which I worked with students on both coursework and laboratory dissection. I also tutored physics and biological chemistry, my area of particular interest. I have approximately four years of research experience and published a paper while at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. A Little Bit About Me...

I tend to work well with individuals and small groups, independent of their age - I have worked with everyone from elementary school and below up to adult learners on a factory floor. My main goal is to teach by finding out what the pupil already knows and relating the subject matter to them through the already established knowledge base. Combining this this direct experience with analogy tends to bring what sometimes starts as an incomprehensible subject into the realm of what they already know and have a feel for, making them more comfortable with the subject and better able to grasp the concepts.
