I attended several schools to achieve my undergraduate degrees, both of which I worked hard to excel at the University level. Attending graduate school at Binghamton University truly prepared me for academia, requiring many research papers and essays as well as honing my knowledge in psychology, the arts, human development, english, and biology. I have tutored, un-officially, all during my college years, forming study groups to better help my peers, as well as having volunteer positions tutoring in math and english.
I love to teach and see the ideas light up the eyes of the person who suddenly got a concept. I think teaching should be adaptable and should fit the learning style of the student. As someone who loves history I discovered my passion for helping others understand history. Because of this love I pursued a degree in museum studies. I have over 6 years experience in volunteering my time at history museums in order to educate today's youth about the past.
My teaching style is to draw connections to what the students are trying to learn with what is happening today that they might be interested. A Little Bit About Me...

I have currently completed 161 credits at Fredonia State. I am 18 credits away from being a certified teacher k-8 with a concentration is History. I have complete EDU 250 Intro to exceptional learner where I tutored a 2nd grader in reading. In this I had to create lesson plans and in the end the student improved from 5 words per minute to 25 words a minute, I received and A in the class. I also work at a before and after school program in Fredonia where I am always helping students in grades k-6 with homework.
Teaching is my passion. I work extremely well versed at working with kids. I have been working for a before and after school program for 2 years now. I believe in never giving up on any child.
